Edinburgh based, this beautiful brand was launched in 2013 by husband and wife team Guy and Leeanne Hundleby. From their Grade A listed townhouse, designs are carefully crafted in their female-led studio and then lovingly hand-made in Spain by artisans.
Leeanne herself says "creativity and quality are at the very heart of Strathberry. Our carefully designed and beautifully crafted bags are made to be treasured for generations" and when the very first piece of Strathberry came into Armcandy HQ I could see immediately what she meant. Beautiful leather with exquisite stitching at a universally achievable price point that is rarely seen inside the luxury industry.
And let's talk about the music bar! If you have even the smallest lean towards the romantic then this story alone will draw you in! A signature hallmark in Strathberry hardware, it is elusively referred to it as "inherited its DNA from a vintage leather sheet music folio discovered by our founders". What?! Obviously I need to know all about that! Purlease tell me more!
I don't know about you, but if this couple work from a Grade A listed Scottish townhouse, partner with artisan craftspeople in mountainous Spain, are driven by a commitment to quality, and are inspired by vintage discoveries... how much do you want a snoop around their actual home! What sort of sofa are they lounging on at the end of a long work day, what books are on their bedside, which artists are hanging on their walls, and I can only imagine their garden (hydrangeas lining the walk to the front door, scented roses on the patio, and please let their be a topiary section!!).
